Amazon.co.uk Review

At the time of its release All Eyez On Me racked up over six million sales, becoming the bestselling hip-hop album of all time. With a chance to reassess Death Row's output it's not hard to see why. As the last album released before Tupac's death, All Eyez On Me is one of the best reasons to buy into the Death Row ethos, featuring Tha Dogg Pound (Nate Dogg, Warren G, Kurupt and Dat Nigger Daz) and "All Bout U" one of the finest slices of G-funk not to feature on The Chronic. The aptly titled "Only God Can Judge Me" shows Tupac with the confidence of an MC at the height of his prowess and guests include some of the biggest stars around from Method Man, Kurupt to Parliament's genius-cum-lunatic George Clinton. With tracks such as "When We Ride", "Can't C Me" and "Ratha Be Ya" All Eyez On Me illustrates just why West Coast's mix of funkadelic basslines, rhymes and sunshine was such a good idea in the first place. --Chris Blenkarn

CD Description

'All Eyez On Me' was the fourth album from West Coast rapper 2-Pac. Released after a brief stint in prison on the notorious Death Row Records, this double cd-set features guest appearances from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg and various other West Coast rappers. Blending hard hip hop beats, with strong gangsta style rap gives the album it's defining thug sound. The Dr. Dre produced single 'California Love' is also included.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rap legend, 13 Feb 2002
By A Customer
I note that an earlier review said that 2Pac pales in comparison to the likes of Nas and Biggie.
Anyone who mentions these guys in the same context as this great man is no Rap fan especially the former.
This is a truly great album and one which I have owned since buying the import in the UK back in the days.
Forget that he is no longer with us this was amazing from its first release.
Dre always knows what tracks to pull and Tupacs lyrics are always upfront and to the point delivered with power and meaning.
Theres a mixture of deep meaningful tracks like "Only god can judge me" to the free flowing in your car tracks like "Picture me rolling"
This is a landmark album like "Follow the Leader" Eric B and Rakim's classic.
He was no angel but it cannot be disputed that he was one of the finest artist's in his field.
HipHop has lost a legend.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST RAPPER + BEST PRODUCER = BEST HIP HOP ALBUM, 13 Oct 2001
By Mr. M. Saleem "muzamil" (London, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
There is absolutly no disputing that 2pac was and still remains the best rapper. 2pac could rap to a simple beat and his catchy and melodic voice could turn it into a piece of art. Now imagine his vocals coupled with some of the best G-funk beats ever provided by none other than Dr dre and you start to get a god picture of the sound of this album.
The album is banging literally and is a true hip-hop album. If you're new to 2pac or have just heard his new 'until the end of time' record, then this is the best example of his work. It is him at his best and no true hip hop fan should be without it.

5.0 out of 5 stars All eyez on this...., 12 Dec 2005
By Matthew Dixon (Haverhill, Suffolk United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This is Tupac at his very best in the prime of his career. the production on this album is superb and every track has a quality of its own. Play it loud and i challenge you not to love it. If you're only ever gonna buy one Tupac album, make it this one.......Mattie Dixon
